10 MinThai Chili Oil is one of the secrets to serving delicious Thai street noodles. The oil is easy to make and the whole process only takes 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 Tsp Dried Chili Flakes
- 60 ml (8.5 oz.) Cooking Oil
Instructions
- Pour chili flakes in a dry, heat-proof container, like a Pyrex.
- Heat the oil in a pan until it reaches its smoking point.
- Carefully pour the oil over the dried chili flakes and let it sizzle in the jar.
Notes
Be careful not to over-heat the oil! Keep a lid or a fire blanket nearby in the event of an accident.
If your jar has a lid - do not close it until the chili oil has cooled off.
